PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bird injury preventive instrument surely preventing birds' coming flying and nesting through designing branch bars to be freely extended into a necessary space according to the status above a utility pole. SOLUTION: This bird injury preventive instrument comprises a nearly vertically supported circular rodlike stem body 1 and such a plurality of branch bodies 2 that branch bars 3 are inclinedly set on the outer circumference of a cylindrical mounting base 4. In this instrument, both edge faces of the mounting base 4 are provided with whirl-stops including recesses 5 and projections 6, the whirl-stops are engaged by externally engaging the mounting base 4 on the stem body 1, and the plurality of branch bars 3 are radially expanded at specified angles and supported on the stem body 1. In this case, the branch bars 3 are set on the outer circumference of the cylindrical mounting base 4 so as to hang inclinedly downward, the mounting base 4 is provided with a screwing unit 7, which, in turn, is screwed with stop screws 8 to firmly set the branch bars 3 on the stem body 1.
