摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a symbol clock synchronizing method for synchronizing the clock of a receiving signal efficiently with a small number of bits for detecting symbol timing. <P>SOLUTION: The symbol clock synchronizing method of a receiver comprising a quadrature demodulation step utilizing a phase modulation system and a detection step for synchronization is further provided with a sampling step for sampling a phase modulated receiving signal at a frequency of two times or more of a symbol frequency and converting it into a quadrature demodulation signal, a delay detection step for performing delayed detection of a sampled signal string and detecting the phase difference of one symbol, a square sum step for operating the square sum of delay detected signal string, a averaging step for averaging the signal string of square sum for each sampling order, and a determination step for determining the difference from a symbol peak indicative of a maximum value from the average value obtained in the averaging step and the symbol timing is detected regardless of the pattern of the receiving signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
