PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating nucleic acids that can inexpensively and simply separate nucleic acids. SOLUTION: In this separating method, a solution containing a conjugating nucleic acid and a non-conjugating nucleic acid is combined with a conjugating compound that is capable of forming a conjugate product together with the conjugating nucleic acid and forms a conjugate polymer having a larger molecular weight than that of the nucleic acid under the environment in which the conjugate product can be produced. Then, the mixture liquid is filtered to separate the conjugating nucleic acid-conjugating compound complex. Further, the complex is allowed to pass through a filter under the dissociation condition to isolate the conjugating nucleic acid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
