PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feeding roller capable of providing satisfactory feeding performance for many hours and a sheet separation member capable of providing satisfactory separation performance irrespective of the thickness (weight) and kind (OHT, glossy paper or the like) of sheet. SOLUTION: In a typical configuration of the feeding roller in which an elastic body layer is formed at the outer periphery of a shaft body, the elastic body layer is provided with a base part and a plurality of minute protruding parts formed on a surface of the base part and having a three-dimensional protruding shape each. The base part and the protruding parts are integrally formed by the same elastic material.
