PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost sensing device capable of sensing a failure in an elongation amount sensing device or a rise/fall angle sensing device. SOLUTION: The sensing device 60 for a high altitude working vehicle has a boom arrangement 5 structured so that a base end boom 5a, an intermediate boom 5b, and a forefront boom 5c are combined in telescopic form and mounted on a revolving table 4 installed on the vehicle body 2 in such a way as capable of revolving and is equipped with a first length sensor 21 attached to one side of the base end boom 5a and the forefront boom 5c and having a wire 21b whose tip is engaged with a wire fixing member 5e, a second length sensor 22 attached to one side of the revolving table 4 and the forefront boom 5c and having a wire 22b whose tip is engaged with the wire fixing member 5e, and a sheave 24 which is attached to the base end boom 5a and on which the wire 22b paid off from the second length sensor 22 is set fast.
