PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a joining accuracy for an extension case and an extension escutcheon by eliminating dimensional variation between the extension case and the extension escutcheon, and also to simplify the supporting structure of an extension unit in a sun visor for a vehicle having the extension unit. SOLUTION: An extension piece 44 is formed in a support plate 40 inserted into a sun visor core 30 to integrally support the extension case 21 and the extension escutcheon 23. By this arrangement, even if the contraction deformation of a sun visor core 30 occurs, the joining accuracy is increased by absorbing the dimensional variation between the extension case 21 and the extension escutcheon 23. In addition, the support plate 40 may be fixedly welded to a loop-like wire frame 32, or the wire frame 32 may be abolished, so that the plate is formed along the shape of the sun visor core 30.
