PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form various minute printing patterns in the use of a printing plate by a screen printing method. SOLUTION: A platemaking pattern opening 13 is formed by exposing a sensitive emulsion 12 which is applied to a metal sheet main body 1, positioned in a metal pattern opening 11 formed in the metal sheet main body 1, and a pattern opening 10 obtained by making the opening size of the platemaking pattern opening 13 smaller than that of the metal pattern opening 11 is formed. The metal pattern opening 11 being formed in the metal sheet main body 1, in a manufacturing method of the pattern opening 10, the sensitive emulsion is applied to the metal sheet main body 1 after formation of the metal pattern opening 11 and exposed by a platemaking film having the platemaking pattern opening 13 aligned to the position of the metal pattern opening 11, Thereby the platemaking pattern opening 13 is formed in the metal pattern opening 11.
