PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cartridge that can precisely and economically filter solid fine particles off from a high-temperature and/or strong acidic liquid to be filtered with the least fiber falling out. SOLUTION: The filter cartridge having thermal and chemical resistances at a high temperature region is manufactured by winding a twist yarn of a flame-resistant multi-filament made of a phenolic resin and having a carbon content of between 80 to >90 wt.% around a porous metal core having at least one open end.
