PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture overturning prevention device capable of securely preventing overturning of furniture regardless of the strength or form of a ceiling. SOLUTION: When an earthquake occurs, and the furniture 15 with the furniture overturning prevention device 1 set in the furniture is inclined backward and the front lower end 16 of the furniture 15 is floated from a floor surface 10. At the time, a movable side member 5 is turned around a hinge mechanism 6, and a stopper part 54 is moved upward. Then, a small diameter roller body 21 among roller bodies 2 stored in a roller body storage recess 45 in a roller body holding part 44 starts to roll toward a rolling passage 40 by its own weight, and climbs into the gap formed between the front lower end 16 of the furniture 15 and the floor surface 10.
