<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus providing a most required voice guidance to a user depending on the situation of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises a voice data memory 17 for storing a voice guidance concerning the current level (situation describing level, problem operating level, problem solving level, apparatus abnormal level) depending on the situation of the apparatus, a voice output section 18 for outputting a voice guidance, and a main control section 11 for determining current level of the apparatus and extracting/outputting a voice guidance depending on that level. The main control section 11 outputs the voice guidance only when a voice guidance key is operated in the situation describing level, outputs the voice guidance once even if the voice guidance key is not operated in the problem operating level and apparatus abnormal level, and outputs the voice guidance repeatedly and periodically until correct operation is performed in the problem solving level. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
