<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baggage storage period control system capable of being restituted easily without bringing about obstruction in the storage period control even when a system trouble is generated. <P>SOLUTION: RF tags 20-i (i=1-n) are fitted with a battery 24 having a capacity set so that the operating time is approximately the same as the storage period of the baggage. A transmitter 10 makes in-lump call for all RF tags 20-i. As the tag(s) 20-i not exceeding the storage period still has a valid battery 24, it responds to the in-lump call and drives its display part 23 (LED or buzzer is put on). As the tag(s) 20-i having exceeded the storage period is not supplied with power from the battery 24, it does not respond to the in-lump call.
