PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect simply and accurately, in inspection of existence of a flaw or a projection object on the external surface of a hose. SOLUTION: In this inspection method for the presence of flaws, a projection object or the like on the external surface of the hose, the hose 1 to be inspected and a chamber 2 for enclosing a gas or a liquid with a fixed pressure are provided. The method is characterized by comprising a process for airtightly inserting the hose into the chamber and relatively sliding both the articles, a process of measuring the pressured in the chamber, and a process of electrically or mechanically detecting pressure drop caused by the existence of the flaws.
