PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a water closet capable of manufacturing a wall surface piping type water closet and a floor surface piping type water closet by hardly changing a manufacture process, and to provide the water closet. SOLUTION: The water closet (1) includes a bowl section (2), a drainage pipe line (6) formed so as to communicate with the bottom of the bowl section, a skirt section (4) formed around the bowl section so as to support the bowl section on the floor surface, reinforced sections (14) respectively provided to both ends of the inside of a back side wall surface of the skirt section and a cutting mark provided on the back side wall surface of the skirt section between the reinforced sections.
