PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular steering device compatibly enhancing the link efficiency and ensuring an Ackerman rate. SOLUTION: In the vehicular steering device which transmits the steering input to a steering wheel 1 to a steering rack via a cable type backup mechanism C and turns right and left dirigible wheels 4-1 and 4-2 by the movement of the rack by the transmitted force, the rack is divided into a left rack 2-1 and a right rack 2-2, and the cable type backup mechanism C comprises: a pulley 7 provided on a column shaft 16 having the steering wheel 1, pulleys 7 and 7 which are respectively provided on right and left pinion shafts 5-1 and 5-2 to be engaged with the right and left racks 2-1 and 2-2; and a cable 8 to connect the three pulleys 7, 7 and 7. Turning actuators 6-2 and 6-3 are provided at the positions on the right and left racks 2-1 and 2-2 side of the right and left pinion shafts 5-1 and 5-2, and clutches 9-1 and 9-2 are provided in the steering system from the steering wheel 1 to the turning actuators 6-2 and 6-3.
