PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder capable of adjusting the amount of electric power fed to a recording head by performing controlling in accordance with data for image recording to changes in the amount of discharge of a nozzle and in the amount of discharge of ink caused by rising of the temperature of the recording head or the like, and to provide the recording apparatus capable of performing a simple control, suppressing a cost up and improving a through-put as there exists no need to correct a width of time of a pulse for driving the recording head for correcting the amount of falling down of the electric voltage generated by the number of the nozzles driven by the recording head. SOLUTION: The recorder is equipped with a data transferring means for transferring periodically the data to a recording element of the recording head, a counting means for counting the number of recording elements to be simultaneously driven among the data, a means for changing an electric voltage for driving the recording elements based on the counted value, and a means for detecting the change in the number of the data and changing the driving electric voltage.
