<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphor that emits white light and excellent in a light emitting characteristic and a phosphor exhibiting the high-luminance light emitting characteristic with an extremely small yield. <P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a nitride phosphor that absorbs at least part of light from a first light emission spectrum and emits light having a second light emission spectrum different from the first light emission spectrum, and is expressed by L<SB>X</SB>M<SB>Y</SB>N<SB>(2/3X+4/3Y)</SB>:Z. The method is characterized by having a process in which burning is performed in an ammonium atmosphere. Here, L is a bivalent element such as Ca, Sr, Ba and the like, M is a quadrivalent element such as C, Si, Ge, and the like, N is a nitrogen element, and Z is an activator such as Eu etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
