<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a size, in a rice-packed retort container, which allows the container to be used as a bowl container after cooking without the necessity of transferring the contents to another container, while the size is kept the same as that of a conventional retort container at the time of sale or storage. <P>SOLUTION: The necessity of releasing steam pressures generated at the time of heating the packed rice for cooking is turned around, so that the steam pressures are utilized as energy for expanding the volume of the folded container which is provided with a pleat at its end, with the inner pressures of the steam providing forces to evenly push up a lid, while causing the container itself to become soft due to the heating, thus making it possible to expand the folded container which is difficult to be so expanded under normal conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
