PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder block structure, capable of restricting deformation of a crankshaft bearing part or the like by means of a smaller number of ribs. SOLUTION: In a cylinder block 1, bolt holes 3 and 3 for fastening a cylinder head by bolts are formed in an upper surface, arc-shaped coupling face surfaces 5 and 5 for installing a housing of a transmission or the like are formed in a rear end surface, and the crankshaft bearing part 6 is formed at a center of a lower end. The upper parts of the coupling face surfaces 5 and 5 are linked to each other by an arch-shaped rib 7 in the form of an arch. Lower ends of right and left bolt hole bosses 4 and 4 having the bolt holes 3 inside are extended to the lower side of the arch-shaped rib 7 to be coupled with the arch-shaped rib 7. From the outer sides of lower ends of the right and left bolt hole bosses 4 and 4 toward the center of the crankshaft bearing part 6, right and left main radial ribs 10 and 10 are provided.
