PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To green a rooftop of a wooden building by constructing a flat roof on the building, laying and superposing a waterproofed FRP synthetic resin member (A) and a glass wool (B) one on the other on the rooftop having a load bearing capacity of 400 kg/m<SP>2</SP>designed on the basis of building design providing an endurance to bear rooftop greening work and constructing a flat roof of a wooden flat floor which is completely and intensively waterproofed. SOLUTION: Horizontal construction is used up to beam positions, and a specified draining gradient is secured at a floor joist receiving member (E). A floor joist is laid above it, and a plywood is laid on the floor joist. A synthetic resin member (A) of FRP (4) and the glass wool (B) are laid and superposed one on the other on the top side of the plywood to form the flat roof. Further, drainage, water retaining materials and lightweight soil are provided all over the roof surface. Vegetable, lawn, flower, tree, etc., are planted on this rooftop (rooftop garden), and a room can have a natural temperature thanks to plants on the rooftop. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
