PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-mold fuel tank and a fuel tank arrangement structure for a saddle-riding type vehicle capable of increasing the visual quality of a fuel tank arranged portion. SOLUTION: In this arrangement structure for the fuel tank 53 disposed near the rear side of a head pipe 59 of the saddle-riding type vehicle and having an upwardly exposed upper surface side, the fuel tank 53 is formed in a vertically divided structure, formed by connecting a lower panel 53a disposed on the lower side to an upper panel 53b disposed on the upper side through flange parts 53c and 53d formed at the side peripheral edge parts thereof, and disposed so that the upper surface part 53j of the upper panel 53b is exposed forward. A tank side-cover 78 having a specified width in the vertical direction is disposed on the side-face part 53m of the fuel tank 53 to cover the flange parts 53c and 53d. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
