METAL BONDED GRINDING WHEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal bonded grinding wheel which can prevent the occurrence of bending and breakage especially when applied to a sharp edged grinding wheel by securing the rigidity and the strength of an abrasive grain layer while maintaining excellent sharpness, and also, can prevent the occurrence of the remarkable abrasion of the abrasive grain layer and the chipping of a work due to the omission of a glassy component in the metal bonded grinding wheel in which the glassy component is dispersed to the abrasive grain layer. SOLUTION: The metal bonded grinding wheel has the abrasive grain layer 1 sintered after dispersing super-abrasive grains 3 and the glassy component 4 to a metal bonded component 2. The sintering temperature of the metal bonded component 2 and the temperature of the softening point of the glassy component 4 are approximately equal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
