A medical diagnostic apparatus comprises a hand-held examination unit and further attached equipment. The hand-held unit comprises ECG electrodes, a combination unit and a processor board for signal processing. The combination unit includes an ultrasound transceiver for echo doppler measurement on moveable media, a sound/vibration sensor for auscultation, and an array of ultrasound transducers for 3D imaging.
