<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card management system that can effectively cope with loss of cards or theft of card information. <P>SOLUTION: In this method, information with respect to a plurality of cards, which can be used at a plurality of financial institutions, is managed by using a server and database. In the database, the card information including a card number and a state of the card is registered in response to identification information such as a user ID or password that is set every user. The server verifies whether the user is authorized with respect to the identification information transmitted from a terminal by user's operation, changes and validates the state of the card specified from the terminal by the authorized user, and updates the card information in the database so as to automatically change and invalidate the state of the card after a fixed time elapses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
