PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system in which an external device such as a setter is unnecessary and a wireless communication device itself autonomously changes a frequency into the frequency suitable to wireless communication. SOLUTION: The wireless communication system is equipped with a wireless communication means 1, a frequency storage means 6, a radio wave inquiring means 7, a frequency determining means 8, and a control means 3, which generates a radio wave state inquiry message by a radio wave state inquiring means 7 and transmits it by using the wireless communication means 1. Then the frequency determining means 8 is used to determine a frequency to be used for communication according to the number of answer messages to the radio wave state inquiry message, and the determined frequency is stored in the frequency storage means 6.
