PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece which can widen its design varieties. SOLUTION: In the timepiece, a movement 11 and a dial 1 constituting a display part are arranged in a timepiece case 10. Logogrammatic characters 21 are raised and formed in the dial 1. Designs, such as numbers, symbols, and patterns, which are not visually recognizable in a front view of the display part, are formed on the side surfaces of the logogrammatic characters 21 in such a way that they are visually recognizable when the display part is viewed obliquely.
