PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable and high-quality rotary compressor causing no noise and defective operation even if strain in radial direction of a cylinder 6 is generated on a suction outer pipe 4 due to internal stress generated by cooling action after expansion due to heating when a suction connection pipe 2, the suction outer pipe 4 and a flow passage pipe 5 of refrigerant gas are fixed by brazing. SOLUTION: This compressor includes a motor 17, a crankshaft 12 driven by the motor 17, a roller 7 driven by the crankshaft 12, a cylinder 6 storing the roller 7, a main end plate 1 retaining the crankshaft 12 and an auxiliary end plate 9 in a hermetic vessel 1. Only inner diameter shape in a vicinity of a suction port 3 provided in the cylinder 6 is enlarged.
