PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen concentrator usable even when a patient is home and/or out (including the time of moving on a car or the like). SOLUTION: The oxygen concentrator comprises a compression means for compressing air taken in from an air intake port, an adsorption means for adsorbing prescribed components other than oxygen in the compressed air inside an adsorption cylinder and removing them from the compressed air, a product tank for storing concentrated oxygen from which the prescribed components are removed, and a pressure adjuster on the downstream side of the product tank, and is operable by a detachable battery. An oxygen sensor is provided on a place communicating with the downstream side flow path of the pressure adjuster and power consumption is reduced by intermittently measuring an oxygen concentration.
