PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lawn mower effective for preventing the falling-off of a grass-collection basket from the main body of the lawn mower to improve the mowing work efficiency. SOLUTION: A handle 2 is attached to the main body 1 of the lawn mower in a state freely movable in longitudinal direction. The body 1 of the mower is provided with a blade 3 and a fan 4. The grass scrap mowed by the blade 3 is transferred by the air flow generated by the rotating fan 4 and collected in a grass-collection basket 5 placed at the back of the mower body 1. A hollow hook 6 opened upward is placed at the rear part of the mower body 1. An engaging part 7 for hooking the hook 6 from above is placed at the front part of the grass-collection basket 5. The gap A between the upper end of the rising part 6a rising upward at the rear end of the hook 6 and the lower face of the handle 2 is formed to be narrower than the thickness B of the engaging part 7 of the grass-collection basket 5 in the working state to position the handle 2 at the back end position of the movable range relative to the mower body 1.
