The heat exchanger comprises a first set of conventional plates (3') with straight flanks and a second set of plates with a heat transfer region (13) extending in the main plane of the plate and flanks (6) extending at an angle to this main plane. The flanks for the second plate comprise an edge section (12) and a base section (11) located between the edge section and heat transfer region. The angle between the base section and a normal extending perpendicular to the main plane of the plate is greater than the angle between the edge section and this normal. The edge section is curved in the upwards direction. - The plates are welded together via their flanks to form a stack. |
