<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which excludes limitation accompanying light irradiation to the display, for allow differentiation in a measuring instrument and a measuring instrument group, by a designer in a market. <P>SOLUTION: This luminescent instrument panel display for an automobile has the first plate, having a thickness and formed with the first and second surfaces opposed to each other. One portion of the plate forms an outer circumferential edge and an inner circumferential edge for forming the central area. A marking is formed in the plate to pick up light in its periphery and a light source is arranged at the central portion. A support member is coupled to the plate to support the plate onto an instrument panel. The light source is thereby adapted, to illuminate the marking by propagation of light via the inner circumferential edge within the thickness of the first plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
