<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processor (an image processor) and a test method therefor, capable of securely performing an operation confirmation test of a data processing part (an image processing part). <P>SOLUTION: The image processor includes a CPU 1, a program memory 2, a RAM 3, an image input means 4, a first image processing part 5, a second image processing part 6, and an image memory 7, and works as an image processor. The first image processing part 5 includes an input circuit 5b for inputting a test pattern, and a selecting circuit 5c. The first image processing part 5 performs image processing for the test pattern stored in the program memory 2, and stores the result of the image processing, as a processed value, into an image memory 7 which functions as a processed value storage means.
