<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the property of mounting on a vehicle by downsizing an automatic opening/closing apparatus for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In this opening/closing apparatus for the vehicle, revolutions of an electric motor are transferred to a back door via a power transmission mechanism which is composed of a pinion and a rack 45, so that an automatic opening/closing operation can be performed. A groove part 64 is provided in the rack 45, and a holding member 61, which is brought into contact with a holding surface 65 so as to hold an interval between the rack 45 and the pinion, is arranged in the groove part 64. The holding member 61 is fitted with a supporting piece 72 to which a cushion rubber 74 is attached, and a lower rack guide 73. The rack 45 is urged in the direction of separation from the pinion via a lower rack guide 73 by the cushion rubber 74. An upper rack guide 81 and a wave washer 82 are mounted on the holding member 61, and the rack 45 is urged in the axial direction of the holding member 61 by an elastic force of the wave washer 82. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
