PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tungsten halogen lamp suitably usable for an automobile, satisfying standards and other constraints in the use of the automobile, and increasing bonding strength in the welded part for both end parts of a filament and an internal lead rod without lowering production efficiency. SOLUTION: This tungsten halogen lamp for the automobile is equipped with the filament 13, one and the other internal lead rods 14a, 14b in the inside of an arc tube 11, and one and the other internal lead rods 14a, 14b are each welded to strands led out from one end and the other end of the filament 13. The angle at which the tip part of the internal rod 14b of the other internal lead rod 14b is inclined to the extended direction of the strand lead-out part 13a on the one side of the filament 13 is almost equal to the angle at which the tip part fo the other internal lead rod 14b is inclined to the extended direction of the strand lead-out part on the other side.
