PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner etc., capable of forming an image of high fineness and high quality while well maintaining cleanability by using spherical toner. SOLUTION: An image forming method includes at least: an electrostatic latent image forming process of forming an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image carrier; a developing process of developing the electrostatic latent image by using the toner to form a visible image; a transfer process of transferring the visible image to a recording medium; and a cleaning process of cleaning the surface of the electrostatic latent image carrier by using a cleaning blade. The coefficient of surface friction of the electrostatic latent image carrier is 0.1 to 0.4, and the toner is prepared by wet external addition of particulates of 0.97 to 1.00 average circularity and 0.03 to 1μm average grain size. The electrostatic latent image carrier may include at least one species selected from fluororesin, silicone resin and their derivatives. The particulates may be inorganic particulates.
