PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable that hardly buckles or breaks even if bent with a small radius. SOLUTION: In the optical fiber cable (11), a coated optical fiber or a coated optical fiber tape (13) and a tension body (14) are placed in parallel and coated all together. A fiber filled in a fiber reinforced plastic rod used as the tension body (14) of the cable is composed of an organic fiber, whose Young's modulus E (MPa) is 10,000≤E≤96,600 and whose ductility L (%) is 3.3≤L at fracture, in this optical fiber cable (11).
