PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To still more enhance tenacity of a charcoal board manufactured by adding water to powdered or granular charcoal or their charcoal mixture and a small amount of glucomannnan powder, kneading them , and pressing the obtained charcoal molded item. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the two-layered charcoal board comprises a process S1 of covering a bottom of a mold having a predetermined board-like shape with shavings, a process S2 of casting the charcoal molding material in the mold covered with the shavings, a process S3 of press-molding the shavings covering the bottom of mold and the charcoal molding material cast thereon, a process S4 of taking out the press-molded item from the mold, and a process S5 of drying and solidifying the press-molded item taken out from the mold. The charcoal molding material is obtained via a process of adding water to powdered or granular charcoal or their charcoal mixture and a small amount of glucomannnan powder, and kneading them.
