PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an ink jet head easily with high precision. SOLUTION: In the process for manufacturing an ink jet head, a groove 41e is formed at first in the side face of a head chip 41 for ejecting ink from an ejection opening. More specifically, the groove 41e is formed using the same rotary cutting tooth during a process for forming the head chip 41 by cutting through the use of the rotary cutting tooth. A rotary cutting tooth having a tooth thickness of 0.2-0.5 mm is employed. A manifold 48a is fixed to the side face of the head chip 41 by fitting a protrusion 482 provided on the manifold 48a in the groove 41e. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
