PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a gear grinding machine in which a dressing device is rationally arranged. SOLUTION: This gear grinding machine is characterized in that a ring-like member 6 is provided in a turnable manner on the outer periphery of a counter column 5 erected on a bed 1 of the gear grinding machine and that the ring-like member 6 is provided with the dressing device 10 for a grinding wheel 3 for grinding a workpiece W. The gear grinding machine is provided with the bed 1; a table 4 provided on the bed 1 and rotated around a first axis C1 while placing and holding the workpiece W; the counter column 5 erected on the bed 1 and serving as a base for supporting one end of the workpiece; a column 2 moving forward and backward with respect to the first axis C1 on the bed 1; and a wheel spindle 14 provided at the column 2 to mount the grinding wheel 3 for grinding the workpiece W. The ring-like member 6 turnable around a second axis O is provided on the outer periphery of the counter column 5, and the ring-like member 6 is provided with the dressing device 10 for dressing the grinding wheel 3.
