PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool head to be used in an automatic cable-tie mounting system. SOLUTION: A ratchet gear mechanism to avoid possibility that an excessive cut tail portion of a tie is stuffed in a tension assembly of a tool head is assembled in the tool head. The ratchet gear mechanism has at least one auxiliary guide inclined surface which is brought into contact with a cut tail portion to guide it into an outlet chute of the tool head.
