PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an air conditioner for a vehicle not impairing comfort when heating by generating air stream such that warm air blown-out from a blowing out port for heating may not hit the upper half of the body of an occupant. SOLUTION: The air conditioner for the vehicle provided with an air conditioning unit 10 installed on a roof part of the vehicle, an evaporator 24, and a heat exchanger 27 for heating and carrying out air conditioning in a cabin has: a plurality of blowing out openings 13-17 formed on the air conditioning unit 10 and opening an air passage corresponding to respective blowing out mode; a plurality of blowing out ports 13a-17a provided on a ceiling part of the vehicle, connected so as to communicated with each of the blowing out openings 13-17 and blowing out the air-conditioned air of which temperature is adjusted; a foot blowing out port 14a of the blowing out ports 13a-17a for blowing out the warm air toward a lower part of the cabin; and a fan unit 40 for suctioning the warm air blown out from the foot blowing out port 14a and capable of blowing out it toward the occupant's feet.
