PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of making two telephone sets receive an incoming call with a single telephone number through simple setting by the user. SOLUTION: A key telephone system is provided with a master unit 10 and a plurality of telephone sets 11 to 14 connected to the master unit 10. The master unit 10 is provided with a storage section 22 for storing a tandem ringing setting table 24, with respect to a master unit and a slave unit, in pairs which should ring by one extension number to each of a plurality of the telephone sets 11 to 14; and a control section 21 that sets the tandem ringing setting table 24 to the storage section 22, by using a first telephone set for the master unit and a second telephone set for the slave unit, when receiving a tandem ringing setting request from the first telephone set to the second telephone set among a plurality of the telephone sets 11 to 14 and makes the first and second telephone sets ring on the basis of the tandem ringing setting table 24, when the first telephone set receives an incoming call.
