<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgery support system permitting appropriate operation support by keeping the setting of each device in an operation room always in an appropriate condition during an operation. <P>SOLUTION: The remote surgery support system 1 consists of an endoscope system 2 disposed in the operation room, a remote control system 3 disposed in a support room in a remote place, and a communication line 16 connecting the systems 2 to 3. A control part 5 of the endoscope system 2 makes a transmitting/receiving part 7 transmit information on the setting of the device together with an endoscopic image to the support room. While, a control part 11 of the remote control system 3 makes a comparing part 14 compare the received information on the setting of the device with a prescribed proper range to determine whether the information is in the range or not, and when the information is not in the range, makes an alarm information preparing part 15 prepare the alarm information indicating that and makes a transmitting/receiving part 10 transmit the information to the operation room.
