<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a music player to generate sounds with profound tone without increasing the number of reeds. <P>SOLUTION: The musical player is constituted in such a manner that sounding waveform data to which waveform data WD corresponds is stored for each reed 83 into a sound memory 33. When a key number kn in a performance data does not belong to a high register, a sound generated by a sound board 35 is superimposed on a sound generated by the reed 83 (kn) by driving an actuator ACT(n) corresponding to the key number kn and also giving a vibration based on sounding waveform data corresponding to the key number kn to the sound board with a note whose pitch is shifted a little to the key number kn while driving an excitation mechanism 20.
