PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a taximeter system which can be improved in security. SOLUTION: The taximeter system has a taximeter 20 and peripheral devices 30 and 40 mutually connected and is provided with a discrimination means 10 for discriminating connection states of the taximeter 20 and peripheral devices 30 and 40 to the system and a communication means 50 for communicating a discrimination result of the discrimination means 10 to the outside as security information. Thus connection states of the taximeter and peripheral devices to the system can be monitored, so that countermeasures can be quickly taken when they are stolen or connections are disconnected.
