PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording waveform producing device capable of producing a recording waveform for irradiating an optical disk with laser even without external input of recording data. SOLUTION: A synchronous pull-in repetition pattern which is recorded at the head of a recording data in an optical disk and used for synchronous pull-in at the time of reproduction is built in a synchronous pull-in data storage part 3, while the data of a mark length and a space length necessary for edge shift processing for forming a multi-pulse waveform based on the write strategy of this synchronous pull-in repetition pattern are built in a synchronous pull-in data analysis information storage part 4. Just after a recording instruction signal is inputted, a change-over signal is outputted from a change-over signal generation part 8 so as to select the outputs of theses synchronous pull-in data storage part 3 and synchronous pull-in data analysis information storage part 4, and a multiple pulse waveform signal to the synchronous pull-in repetition pattern is generated to drive a laser diode 30 by a driver circuit 20.
