PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the adhesion between a valve 3 and a seal ring 5 and the malfunction of the seal ring 5 due to the deposit adhesion in the clearance without increasing repulsion to a seal contact surface of a nozzle in a seal ring 5 mounted in a peripheral groove 4 of an outer peripheral surface in a butterfly type valve 3 of a EGR control valve or elastic deformation force in a radial direction and enlarging a clearance formed between a ring contact surface in the peripheral groove 4 and a side contact surface of the seal ring 5. SOLUTION: A plurality of protrusions 41 are provided to a ring contact surface 40 on one side in the peripheral groove 4 so as to be along a radial direction of the valve 3 until reaching an opening side from a bottom wall side in a radial direction of the peripheral groove 4. By so doing, the ring contact surface 40 in the peripheral groove 4 is formed in a non-plane shape different from a plane. As a result, a contact area between the side contact surface 50 on one side of the seal ring 5 and the ring contact surface 40 on one side in the peripheral groove 4 can be reduced.
