PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the transmission of kinetic energy generated by the separation of a broken material piece of a rotary target of an X-ray tube transmitted to an X-ray tube housing to the minimum. SOLUTION: An energy absorption device (78) for an imaging tube (18) includes an energy absorption element (82). The energy absorption element (82) is connected to a housing (60) of the imaging tube (18) in a manner of fluid to absorb the kinetic energy generated inside the imaging tune (18).
