PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic apparatus which prevents degradation in dot reproducibility and assures and realizes high durability. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic apparatus has an electrophotographic photoreceptor formed by successively stacking a photosensitive layer charge generating layer and a charge transfer layer on a conductive support and exhibits 1,200 dpi resolution of an image. The charge transfer layer is formed by applying a coating liquid for the charge transfer layer in which organic particulates of 0.1 to 0.5μm average dispersion grain size are dispersed in the coating liquid. The content of the organic particulates in the total resin components in the charge transfer layer is 5 to 30 mass%, and a relational expression of the organic particulates of -0.17W+21.8≤d≤-0.17W+27.3 is satisfied. In the relational expression, W [mass%] stands for the content of the organic particulates in the total resin component in the charge transfer layer, and d [μm] the film thickness of the charge transfer layer.
