<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell power generating system which can immediately detect methanation reaction in a CO oxidation apparatus, for example, by a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises a reformer 3 where fuel of hydrocarbon is reformed with a catalyst, a burner 4 for heating the catalyst in the reformer 3, a CO oxidation apparatus 6 for removing a CO component in reactant gas reformed at the reformer 3, a fuel cell 7 which generates electric power with the reactant gas removed with the CO component at the CO oxidation apparatus 6, a pipe 18 for supplying unreacted gas discharged from the fuel cell 7 to the burner 4, and a controller 8 which determines that it is abnormal when an electric current flowing between the burner 4 and an electrode for detecting fire generated by the supply of the unreacted gas to the burner 4 exceeds a predetermined threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
