<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hyperkalemia-improving agent without adverse effect by using calcium chitin chitosan as a substitute for a calcium polystyrene sulfonate. <P>SOLUTION: This hyperkalemia-improving agent is provided by using a natural calcium chitin chitosan obtained by dissolving the chitin chitosan obtained from shells of crabs or prawns with vitamin C, lactic acid or citric acid and precipitating with calcium and a purified chitin chitosan jointly as a metal-chelating agent, as the substitute of the calcium polystyrene sulfonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
